On the eve of Lviv City Day, BANKHOTEL, as a socially responsible business, joined the eco-action “Give the City a Tree” 2024, within which a sapling of the Austrian Oak tree was planted in Ivan Franko Park.
The Hotel’s employees spent an active and productive Friday afternoon outdoors together with park workers. Thanks to their joint and friendly work, the Austrian Oak will now grow in the city park next door to the BANKHOTEL.
The choice of this type of tree is not accidental, but rather symbolic. After all, the history of the BANKHOTEL building began in the period from the 1870s to 1914 as a branch of the Austro-Hungarian Bank, which became one of the most important financial institutions in the city.
It is a great honor and a responsible mission for us to preserve our historical past and take care of the future of our city.
We are grateful to our partners: The Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of Lviv City Council and the gardeners of Ivan Franko Park for the opportunity to contribute to the greening of Lviv.
